The Dignity of Work
To foster economic growth within Indiana, the wages of decent living are deserved to all workers in Indiana. Large corporations should not be able to continue to profit off the fruits of our labor while Hoosiers struggle for basic human necessities. I will work to increase the wages for all Hoosiers and get more money in the pockets of working class families.
Veteran Benefit Assistance
Hoosier veterans deserve benefits and support when they come home. As a child of a disabled veteran, I know how important these benefits are to veterans and their families. I want to fund grants for local American Legions and social workers to continue their work in helping veterans navigate the federal bureaucracy to receive the full amount of benefits they're entitled to. No man left behind.
Economic Revitalization
We are proposing a comprehensive strategy to attract sustainable investment and support local entrepreneurs. By implementing targeted tax incentives and expanding infrastructure grants, we will foster an environment where small businesses are empowered to provide more benefits to employees, and working people bring home more money for their families.
Data Center Moratorium
Up until now, Indiana has been rolling out the red carpet for data center construction. Indiana has offered large tax incentives for companies to build data centers in our backyards. Current leadership failed to put in any energy or water regulations, which has resulted in massive increases in utility costs for Hoosiers and minimal environmental safety.
Environmental Safety
Corporations that operate within our state need to be held accountable for the damage that they are directly causing by their lack of environmental safety protocols. Parts of Steuben County's lakes and streams have tested positive for extremely high levels of phosphate and e. coli populations that are twice the recommended swimming levels. The run off from these systems enter the St. Mary's river, which Fort Wayne utilizes for it's drinking water. No organization has the right to cause unsafe conditions for the general public. Indiana's current leadership has been given these reports and no changes have been made.
De-Flock Indiana
The current leadership has allowed AI enabled cameras, commonly known as flock cameras, to be installed in various high traffic areas as well as some private properties. These cameras compile their data with all other flock cameras giving the government the power to track anyone they want throughout their day, recording common routines and routes. This kind of information is a weapon, it constitutes mass surveillance and it runs afoul of the 4th amendment it has no place in a free state like Indiana.
Public Education
Our children are the future of this country and they deserve access to meaningful and well-funded education. I want to increase the funding that our schools get. No to just increase the opportunities that our children are offered at school, but to also increase the wages of the educators that have been dedicated to teaching the future. Education, no matter the level, should be funded by our community, for our community.
